The supply unit (10) has a power supply line (12) that is connected with a power cord (13), and connected to a power supply module (11) through a plug connector (14). The supply module comprises a transformer that is connected with the supply line on a primary side through the connector, for transforming an alternating current (AC) line voltage into a secondary-side low-voltage for operating an electrical load. The supply module is connected to a mains cut-off (15) through a control line (16), and is operated with either the mains cut-off or without mains cut-off. An independent claim is included for a furniture drive for adjusting moveable components of a sitting or reclining furniture.
