Method for autonomous driving in a car wash module and motor vehicle

The method involves detecting a corridor of a carwash, and detection a position of a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car, relative to the corridor of the carwash. The motor vehicle is automatically retracted (S2) in the carwash based on the position and orientation of the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle is automatically stopped (S3) in a washing position. An end signal indicating end of washing step is received or determined. The motor vehicle is automatically driven out (S8) from the carwash based on triggering of a completion signal. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle.
