Photovoltaic power plant

The photovoltaic power plant has photovoltaic modules (1) that are configured to generate an electric power. The photovoltaic modules are connected together to form several strands (2). A central converter (5) converts generated electric power into electrical energy whose voltage waveform corresponds to voltage waveform in utility grid. An output unit feeds the converted electrical energy into utility grid, and the central converter has electric motor (51) and synchronous generator (52) whose shafts are coupled together.
