The present invention, relating to the battery field, discloses a positive pole material of a lithium ion battery and method for preparing the same, a positive pole of a lithium ion battery, and a lithium ion battery, which are capable of effectively preventing precipitation of metal impurity ions on a negative pole, and improving the cycle performance and high-temperature storage performance of the lithium ion battery. The positive pole material of the lithium ion battery includes: a conductive additive; nano phosphate, where the formula of the nano phosphate is LiMPO, M being one or multiple of Co, Ni, Mn, Fe, and V; and a functional polymer material, where the functional polymer material contains a transition metal ion chelating function group.
