Bumper assembly with reduced physical volume

The bumper arrangement (1) has a main cross carrier (2) movable in driving direction (X), where the main cross carrier is sectionally extended between two deformation elements (4). A stationary main cross carrier (3) is arranged adjacent to the main cross carrier and is extended between the deformation elements. The stationary main cross carrier is coupled with a stationary segment (10) of the deformation elements and is coupled to the vehicle body over flange plates. The stationary segment of the deformation elements is fixed to a longitudinal carrier over flange plates.
