A position, at which the pilot attains a setpoint to be entered, is defined. An automatic thrust system (6) of the aircraft and airbrakes (7) of the aircraft are automatically servo controlled in a combined manner such that the aircraft attains the setpoint at a position defined by the geographical constraint.
