Wind deflector device for cabriolet cars

The device has a cover frame comprising two sub-frames that are connected to each other via a pivot hinge (7) that is pivotable about a pivot axis (8). The frame is arranged with a flat material web that is fixed by a fastening unit (45) or a piping. The material web is fixed to the frame. A set of edge areas (13) of the flat material web is connected to the outside or lies in a plane with the pivot axis during folding of the frame in the form of multiple convolutions with multiple bending edges (14a-14c).
