The present invention relates to a cathode for a sodium-metal halide battery, a battery comprising the same, methods for preparing the same and use thereof. A metal microwire is added into the cathode. The metal microwire builds a secondary grid other than a cathode grid, and thus improves the cathode conductivity and the stability of its conductive network, thereby decreasing internal resistance of the battery and improving discharge power of the battery.
