A mixer drum driving apparatus having a mixer drum carried on a frame of a mixer truck to be free to rotate and a drive source cinfigured to drive the mixer drum to rotate includes a rotary motor configured to drive the mixer drum to rotate as the drive source, a power supply configured to supply power to the rotary motor, and a power generator configured to generate power as the mixer drum rotates and charge the generated power to the power supply.
