A refrigeration system using a centralized liquid cooling system of a vehicle to refrigerate or chill a removable object (food or beverages) comprising a compartment (120) in which the object may be placed;a chilled liquid coolant system having a connection through which liquid coolant is received through a coolant path from a centralized liquid cooling system (220) of a vehicle; anda heat exchanger (610) proximate the compartment and operationally coupled with the chilled liquid coolant system along the coolant path to transfer heat from the compartment to the liquid coolant.
