The part has a decoration layer (18) made from leather, and a spacing layer (16) formed between a support component (10) and the decoration layer. The spacing layer is made from material softer than material of the component, where the component, spacing layer and decoration layer comprise a local material weakening that permits controlled breaking of the lining part when predetermined force is exerted on the component. An intermediate layer (20) is formed between the decoration and spacing layers in an area of the weakening, where the intermediate layer does not comprise the weakening. The intermediate layer is made from non-woven material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an inner lining part.
