Source
A flange portion provided on a shaft member of a rolling bearing device for a wheel includes an outer flange portion; and an inner flange portion formed thicker than the outer flange portion as seen in a cross section. The inner flange portion is formed into a concavely-curved-inclining-surface-shape in which a flange surface shape on a side where a bolt seat surface portion for the hub bolt is disposed is such that the thickness of the inner flange portion gradually decreases as it extends radially outwards from a radially proximal end portion. The concavely-curved-inclining-surface-shape is formed as a surface shape in which the thickness of the inner flange portion decreases uniformly as it extends radially outwards with respect to a width direction the flange portion.
