In a driver circuit , a drive transistor and a shunt resistor are connected in series between the second connection terminal and a ground, and an overcurrent detection circuit that enables detection of occurrence of an overcurrent in the drive transistor on the basis of a voltage of the shunt resistor is provided, and a microcomputer is configured to be able to determine presence or absence of occurrence of battery short-circuit equivalent to an electrical short-circuit state of the first connection terminal and the second connection terminal on the basis of an output of the overcurrent detection circuit",
