Communication device of a system for monitoring the wheels of a vehicle and communication method

The device has an electronic module (110) placed in a wheel (R) of a vehicle. The module emits waves (O) over a range of frequencies to allow reflection of the waves on a metal structure (S) for allowing the waves to reach an electronic chip (200) i.e. radio frequency identification tag, irrespective of position of the chip with respect to the module so that the module corresponds to the chip for activation and/or transmission of data for writing and/or reading data. A radio-frequency receiver is associated with a chassis of vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a communication method.
