Starting device for starting combustion engines

The starter (10) has a planetary transmission (83) arranged between a starter motor (13) and a pinion (22). A ring gear (95) is rotatably supported at a ring gear bearing (103) by a damper (100). The damper is mounted between a power transmission surface at the ring gear bearing and a power transmission surface at the ring gear. The transmission surfaces are arranged at clutch elements between the ring gear and the ring gear bearing such that a perpendicular line of the power transmission surfaces exhibits a component, which is pointed from gaps.
