Gas turbine process with updraft power plant

The power plant (1) has a gas turbine (2) and a tower (12) that is equipped with a power generation unit (11) and is used for generating electricity from an aerodynamic updraft in the tower. The gas turbine is fluidically coupled to the tower in such a way that some of the exhaust gas from the gas turbine flows through the tower during operation. The gas turbine is fluidically coupled to the tower in part by a duct (13) that has a duct section (20), via which fresh air is fed to the exhaust gas, where the mixture is conducted into the tower. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a power plant.
