Fuel injection system

The fuel injection system (1) has a fuel distributor (2), which has a fuel distribution chamber, and a pressure reservoir (3), which is connected with the fuel distribution chamber. The pressure reservoir has a volume reservoir with a variable volume, where the volume reservoir is connected with the fuel distribution chamber. The pressure reservoir comprises a displaceable piston, which limits the volume of the volume reservoir of the pressure reservoir.
