Method and device for controlling a piezoelectric actuator

The arrangement (1) has a control unit (3) provided with a control signal for driving a piezoelectric actuator (2), where the control unit adapts a control signal based on detected operating temperature. A fuel injection valve (4) is provided with a nozzle needle (10). The piezoelectric actuator is utilized to actuate the nozzle needle. Temperature sensors (30, 31) are provided for detecting the operating temperature of a housing portion (6) of the fuel injection valve and the piezoelectric actuator. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a piezoelectric actuator.
