BRAKE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
DRIVE
December 11, 2013
A brake device for a vehicle is provided in which when a slave cylinder (42) generates a brake fluid pressure that is commensurate with the actual amount of operation of a brake pedal (12) by a driver in a state in which a master cut valve (32, 33) is closed and a fluid path connecting a master cylinder (11) to the slave cylinder (42) is cut off, a wheel cylinder (26, 27, 30, 31) is actuated by the brake fluid pressure. Since deterioration determination means (M1) determines a leak in the downstream of the slave cylinder (42) based on the actual amount of actuation of the slave cylinder (42) detected by a slave cylinder stroke sensor (Se) and the actual brake fluid pressure generated by the slave cylinder (42) and detected by a fluid pressure sensor (Sb, Sc), it is possible to rapidly determine a leak in the downstream of the slave cylinder (42).
