Hand-guided appliance with an internal combustion engine and an air filter

The implement has an air filter (38) including a cylindrical filter element (39) fixedly connected to end plates (51). One of the end plates serves as an air filter bottom (40). An intermediate flange (43) between the filter and an engine faces the air filter bottom to bound an interior space. An integral boundary wall (44) protruding transversely to the interior space from the flange and or filter bottom bridges the spacing between the flange and filter bottom. The pure side of the filter is connected to the engine via the duct.
