Cooling medium supply system and method

A cooling medium supply apparatus 10 has a sensing means 120 and a cooling medium pump mechanism 100 which is powered by a gas turbine engine assembly 140. The gas turbine engine assembly 140 is self-contained with a fuel supply 150, an ignition system 170 and a starting system 180. The sensing means 120 monitors the presence of a primary supply of a cooling medium 110, and on detecting a loss of the primary supply, actuates the gas turbine assembly 140 to provide a secondary supply of the cooling medium 110.
