A child vehicle seat comprises at least a base and a seat. The seat is provided with a seat member and connecting means to detachably connect the seat member to the base. The seat can be tilted between at least two different tilting positions with respect to the base by means of a recline mechanism. The seat is provided with the recline mechanism being located between the seat member and the connecting means.
