The device has a display surface (11) having a front face (A) facing a user and a rear face (B). An indicator needle (20) is drivable in rotation about an axis of rotation, where the needle includes an LED part (21) provided at the rear face of the display surface, and a cursor part (22) provided at the front face of the display surface. A recess is shaped as a circular arc around the axis of rotation of the indicator needle, where the LED and cursor parts of the needle are inserted into the device with respective fixing elements having a clip operation. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting an indicator needle to a display device.
