To secure a fuel consumption performance and a brake performance while eliminating that a driver has an uncomfortable feeling, a hybrid vehicle includes an engine 10 and a motor 20 which are power sources when a vehicle 1 travels, and a brake booster device 52 that increases an operation force when a brake pedal 60 is operated making use of a negative pressure generated when the engine 10 is operated, when a booster pressure is higher than a control start determination value Ps while the vehicle 1 travels only by a power generated by the motor 20, a negative pressure generation control is executed, and, when the negative pressure generation control is executed, when the booster pressure is lower than a control switch reference value Pj, the engine 10 is operated only when the brake pedal 60 is not depressed, and when the booster pressure is equal to or higher than the control switch reference value Pj, the engine 10 is operated when the brake pedal 60 is not depressed and when the brake pedal 60 in the depressed state is returned.
