The present invention relates to a method for controlling a hydraulic pump in an excavator, and more particularly, to a method for controlling a hydraulic pump in an excavator, capable of enabling optimum control of an engine and a pump, in a case of operating an excavator with options such as a breaker, a crusher, or the like, by allowing the engine to be operated at an engine revolution speed to achieve the best fuel efficiency when a hydraulic pump discharges a flow at a set flow rate predetermined by an operator through an instrument panel.
