The engine has a cylinder (10) provided with a combustion chamber (14). An exhaust unit (22) is provided with an exhaust manifold (24) that is controlled by an exhaust valve (26). An air inlet channel (32) allows the flow of supercharged air through into the chamber through an opening (36). The channels comprise movable multidirectional orientation unit (42) for directing the flow of super charged air toward the combustion chamber. The multidirectional orientation unit is placed near the opening and provided with a movable angular tube (44). An independent claim is also included for a method for scanning residual flarings gases contained in a combustion chamber of a two-stroke internal combustion engine.
