The recirculating channel section is in fluidic connected with the fresh air channel section by the inlet opening, where a separator structure (39) is arranged in or at the inlet opening for separating particles carried along in the gas, particularly exhaust gas. The recirculating channel section is opened radially inwards in an area covering the inlet opening. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an exhaust gas recirculation device for recirculating exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine of an exhaust system, or blow-by gases of the internal combustion engine or a tank vent of a fresh air line of the internal combustion engine; and (2) an internal combustion engine, particularly of a vehicle.",
