Display system for an aircraft and associated method

The system (10) has an additional display unit (38) including additional display screens (40A, 40B), and an additional management unit (42) for managing graphical user interface (GUI) of the additional display screens for displaying a synthesis window on the additional screens depending on the operational state of an aircraft. The synthesis window includes a pictogram to be displayed on one of windows (46A-46F) of a main display unit (30), and another pictogram to be displayed on another window of the main display unit without displaying on the former window of the main display unit. An independent claim is also included for a display method for an aircraft.
