Method for operating a combustion engine with at least one scoured pre-chamber
DRIVE
August 28, 2013
The method involves connecting a prechamber (1) to a main combustion chamber of the combustion engine (2). The ignition is preceded immediately in the main combustion chamber during a compression phase. A gas is transferred from the prechamber into the main combustion chamber during first transfer phase, after the ignition is performed in the prechamber. A two-phase, incompressible medium (M) such as water is introduced into the prechamber after the first transfer phase. The medium is injected into the prechamber.
