The heat source is formed by a fuel heater (2), an internal combustion engine, an electric motor, a generator and/or an inverter. The inverter is designed as a direct current (DC)/DC transducer or a DC/alternating current (AC) transducer. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a motor car.",
