The mirror component (2) has an adjustment unit (4) for adjusting the mirror surface within certain limits. The adjustment unit is connected with a supporting structure (6) by a clamping connection unit (14). The clamping connection unit is provided with two clamping jaws that are mounted at two different mounting positions with respect to the supporting structure. The clamping tabs of adjustment unit are connected between clamping jaws. An independent claim is included for mirror assembly.
