The method involves using a triaxis sensor that is fixed to a mobile object i.e. catheter, and measuring a vector that gives direction of field of physical quantity at a measurement point in a mobile referential system. A set of scalar and vector products of a set of normalized vectors is utilized for measuring curves (74), and the vector is measured such that direction of another vector relative to the former vector is identical to direction of the normalized vector relative to another normalized vector. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a non-transitory information-recording medium comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for identifying faulty measurement axes of a triaxis sensor (2) a device for identifying faulty measurement axes of a triaxis sensor.
