METHOD FOR TREATING INTERNAL FOULING OF A FUEL INJECTOR IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
DRIVE
April 3, 2013
Treating such as curing an internal fouling of a fuel injector present in an internal combustion engine, comprises (i) mixing an amount of curative additive of the fuel injector with a fuel of the internal combustion engine, and (ii) operating the internal combustion engine. An independent claim is included for an additive for treating such as curing the internal fouling of the fuel injector present in the internal combustion engine, comprising 10-30% of non-polar solvent, 10-20% of 2-ethylhexanol, 20-60% of polyisobutylene succinimide amine, 10-30% of alkyl phenol derivatives and/or amide fatty acids and mineral oil.
