Method for operationg an adiabatic compressed air storage power plant and adiabatic compressed air storage power plant

The method involves compressing and/or decompressing compressed air by a turbine engine. A pressure reservoir is in temporary communication with the turbine machine for intermediate storage of the compressed air. A heat storage chamber is sealed in a gas-tight manner relative to a concrete shell (7) of a pressure tank (1) surrounding the heat storage chamber. The concrete shell is cooled by removal of the heat storage chamber between the gastight sealed heat storage chamber and the concrete shell. Heat exhausted for cooling is re-utilized. An independent claim is also included for an adiabatic compressed air storage power plant.
