System and method for monitoring the fuel fed to the fuel supply pumps of a gas turbine engine

A system (10) includes a forwarding skid (14) configured to forward a liquid supply from a liquid storage vessel (12) toward a downstream component (20). The forwarding skid (14) includes a pumping system (15) configured to receive a gravity feed of the liquid supply from the liquid storage vessel (12), and the pumping system (15) is configured to pump the liquid fuel supply toward the downstream component (20). The forwarding skid (15) also includes a monitoring system (13) configured to obtain at least one sensed parameter of the gravity feed of the liquid supply received at the forwarding skid (14) upstream from the pumping system (15). The at least one sensed parameter is indicative of a supply level remaining at the liquid storage vessel (12).
