Device for a combustion engine

DRIVE March 6, 2013
Source
The device has a loading air collection pipe (1) with branching individual lines (3) through which combustion air of a manifold (2) is supplied to an inlet (4), adjacent to a cylinder, and distributed to another distant cylinder. A return flow line (11) is attached to the manifold at a location remote from the inlet and connected with the inlet or the manifold at a throttling point (8) causing pressure drop. An oscillation pipe (12) with defined resonance volume for smoothing and/or shifting specific oscillations and/or pressure peaks of the combustion air is attached to the manifold. A Venturi cone (9) is provided at the throttling point.
