A gas turbine engine has in flow series: a compressor section (10), a combustion chamber (12), and a turbine section (13). The engine further has a steam generator (16). The combustion chamber (12) has a steam reservoir (11) located at the upstream end thereof. The steam reservoir (11) receives steam from the steam generator (16), and delivers the received steam into a combustion zone of the combustion chamber (12).
