Method and device for rapid location of mobile objects (e.g. vehicles) relative to a target

The method involves establishing the actual Global positioning system-coordinates (21,31) of a moving object (1) and a target object (3). A measurement of the distance of the moving object to the radio beacons (4-7) is carried-out in the moving object. A comparison between the transmitted position data of the target object and the actual effective-position of the moving object is carried-out in the moving object, till the difference has a determined threshold value. An independent claim is included for a device for rapid localization of moving objects such as vehicles in the direction of a target object in an area illuminated by radio beacons.
