The present invention refers to a method for switching on and off electric current comprising detecting a verification condition (103), switching on the electric current responsive to the detected verification condition (104),establishing a communication via a communication network (NW) after the switching on the electric current (105),detecting a switch-off condition via the established communication (106), and switching off the electric current responsive to the detected switch-off condition (107). Furthermore, an apparatus and a system are suggested for controlling switching on and off electric current.
