Method and system for analysis of turbomachinery

A method and a system for analyzing turbomachinery (56) are provided. In one embodiment, a system for analyzing turbomachinery is provided. The system includes an intelligent turbomachinery filter (ITF) system (54) configured to analyze a historical sensor data (44) for one or more components of a turbomachine to produce a filtered trend (60). The system further includes a detection and diagnostic system (50) configured to determine a root cause of a turbomachine performance based on the filtered trend (60).
