The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vehicle brake system having a high degree of mounting freedom. The present vehicle brake system (10) is configured in such a manner that an input device (14) into which braking operation of the operator is inputted and a motor cylinder device (16) which generates hydraulic brake pressure on the basis of an electric signal according to at least the braking operation are disposed so as to be separated from each other in the engine room (R) partitioned in front of the dashboard (2). The vehicle brake system (10) is characterized in that the input device (14) is disposed behind a power device (3) in such a manner that at least a part of the input device (14) overlaps the power device (3) in the front-rear direction.
