Braked castor
DRIVE
September 18, 2013
The caster has a pin (34) laterally projecting on a face of a leg that is connected to a side face of a wheel (10). A throat (35) is provided on the side face of the wheel. The pin plunges into the throat to prevent the wheel from rotating with respect to a housing (20) when an arm (30) is in a position (P2). The pin is located apart from the throat to permit the wheel to rotate freely about an axis (21) with respect to the housing when the arm is in another position (P1). A control unit (40) moves the arm from the latter position to the former position, and vice versa.
