A hybrid vehicle brake control device comprises: a master cylinder (13); wheel cylinders (4FL, 4FR, 4RL, 4RR); a VDC brake hydraulic pressure unit (2); a motor controller (8); and an unified controller (9). When a brake operation is carried out, the unified controller (9) carries out a regenerative cooperative brake control which achieves a target deceleration by the sum of a base fluid pressure portion, a regenerative portion, and an add-on pressure portion. Additionally, a motor restart control is carried out which suspends or stops a VDC motor (21) to operate when the vehicle velocity V falls below a first predetermined value. Furthermore, when the vehicle velocity V exceeds a second predetermined value and the brake operation is carried out while the VDC motor (21) is in a stopped state, the target deceleration value is set lower than the target deceleration value of driver's request, and a motor restarts control is carried out which restarts the VDC motor (21).",
