Improved hydrogen development device and fuel cell system comprising same

Hydrogen evolution device (301) for liberating an amount of liberated hydrogen, which is proportional to an amount of the current upon passage of an electric current, comprises: at least one hydrogen evolution cell comprising an electrochemically oxidizable anode; a hydrogen cathode; an electrolyte; and at least one heating resistor (106) which is thermally coupled to the hydrogen evolution cell directly or via a solid or liquid heat conductor. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a device for supplying a load with electric energy, comprising the hydrogen evolution device and a fuel cell (302) in which hydrogen from the hydrogen evolution device reacts with an oxidant to generate current; and (2) operating hydrogen evolution device or a fuel cell which is supplied with hydrogen from the hydrogen evolution device, comprising heating the cathode of the hydrogen evolution device with the heating resistor.
