"textContent": "The power station comprises several network sections through which the data communication signals and/or the transmitting signals are transmitted. Several network stations are equipped with a rechargeable energy storage device for storing electrical energy, and a loading and unloading device. The loading and unloading device is switchable between a state of charge in which the energy storage device is charged, a discharge state in which the energy storage device is discharged, and a standby state in which the energy storage device is not discharged or charged. The power station comprises several network sections through which data communication signals and/or transmitting signals are transmitted, and several network nodes such as fiber node (FN) through which the data communication signals and/or transmitting signals are received from a network link and are distributed to multiple network paths. A group of network stations are distributed over the geographic area and are associated to a respective network node. The network stations have an electronic functional assembly that satisfies at least one signal transmitted over network. The network stations of the group of network stations or several network stations of a subset of the group of network stations, are equipped with a rechargeable energy storage device for storing electrical energy, and a loading and unloading device comprising a power-supply arrangement for supplying electric current to energy storage device, in first operating state, and for supplying electric current to electronic functional assembly, in second operating state. The loading and unloading device is switchable between several states comprising a state of charge in which the energy storage device is charged, a discharge state in which the energy storage device is discharged, and a standby state in which the energy storage device is not discharged or charged. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method of operating or configuring a power station over an extended geographical area of data communication and/or transmission network; and (2) a method for retrofitting a power station over an extended geographical area of data communication and/or transmission network.",
