Manually operated work device with internal combustion engine with adjustable engine speed limit

The hand-operated working equipment has an internal combustion engine (4) for driving a tool, where the internal combustion engine has an ignition device, a fuel supplying device and a control device. The control device is engaged on reaching an engagement speed in order to limit the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine. A unit is provided for adjusting the engagement speed by the operator. The working equipment has a handle (3) for holding the working equipment in operation.
