Locking device for a charging connector of an electrically driven motor vehicle

The device (1) has an adapter element for connecting the device with a charging outlet, which is arranged at a charging station. A mechanically and/or electrically operated locking element (7) is partially arranged in an aperture, which is formed in a housing of the device. An electric motor is arranged within the housing to drive the locking element. The adapter element is connected with a housing of a charging plug and/or with the housing of the device in a form-fit, force-fit and/or firmly bonding manner.
