Internal combustion engine with exhaust gas recirculation system
DRIVE
June 12, 2013
The engine has a compressor (5) provided in an air intake section (2) and an exhaust gas recirculation device (16) including a return line (17) that is provided between an exhaust line (3) and the air intake section. A secondary channel (10) is offset from a primary channel (9) of the air intake section and bridges an adjustable actuator (11) in the primary channel. The secondary channel is connected with a compressor entry region (21) of the compressor, and downstream an air battery (12), which is flow-connected with the compressor entry region. The return line opens into the air battery. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an internal combustion engine.
