Provided is an intake system that enables extension of an intake air introduction pipe without increasing the external dimension of the intake system. The intake system comprises: a plurality of branch pipes (27-30) which are arranged one next to the other and communicate at downstream ends thereof with a plurality of intake ports (14) provided in an engine (10), respectively, each branch pipe extending from the downstream end thereof to an upstream end thereof in a curved manner; an intake chamber (26) communicating with the upstream ends of the branch pipes; and an intake air introduction pipe (25) having a downstream end communicating with the intake chamber, wherein the intake air introduction pipe has a section that extends in a space defined between the branch pipes and the engine in a direction of arrangement of the branch pipes.
