A mirror replacement system for a motor vehicle includes a plurality of cameras () disposed about a vehicle. A vehicle controller is connected to each camera and includes an extrapolation algorithm configured to generate at least one extrapolated image based at least in part on an image feed from the plurality of cameras. The extrapolated image is from the perspective of a virtual camera position (″) offset from the vehicle. A display is configured to display the extrapolated image to a vehicle operator.
